Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
Language is the main barrier. I did not have any issues and met lots of local people because my kids went to Japanese public school, local karate with Japanese kids, and I volunteered at the school. I have a biological kid who is white and an adopted daughter who is a pacific islander and we did not experience any issues at all. We felt very welcome. - Jul 2021
