What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?

Those who choose to work try to get one of the limited jobs in the Embassy. There is no bilateral work agreement between the US and Fiji. Fiji also has a high unemployment rate so you would have to have a skill that is in short supply to get hired locally. Plan on fighting trying to get a job at the Embassy or not working at all. With limited internet telecommuting is next to impossible. - Oct 2018
