Are there any unusual problems with insects or other infestations in housing?
Its in the tropics. Lizards, bugs, frogs. All rather benign compared to my experience in Houston and Australia. Nothing super poisonous. Iguanas are huge and look like baby dinosaurs but they are sweethearts when you get to know them. - May 2023
Mosquitoes! There is a lot of dengue on the island, which is a problem. Mosquitos, cockroaches, ants and lizards everywhere (including our house). - Jan 2014
Dengue, dengue and dengue. Mosquitoes are a big problem! People also have the occasional cockroach, spiders and most everyone has ants at some point. Just about everyone also has those little fruit flies that are a pain to get rid of but not really dangerous. Fleas and ticks are a problem but preventative pet medication and treatments are readily available. Termites can be a problem, too. - Jun 2013
