There are plenty of things to do. The Opa Locka city hall was built to resemble a palace from the 1001 Nights. The Japanese Gardens near Boca, the Renaissance Festival, how close you are to the Keys, etc. Plenty of cultural enrichment to experience that can make up for the horrible people and driving. - Jun 2026

There are so many things to do here! The beaches are fabulous, with great night life. The zoo is fun, and there are lots of museums and performances to see. We have major league baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. Key West is about a 3 hour drive south. Orlando is 4 hours north with Disney, Sea World, and Universal Studios. Tampa is 4 1/2 hours across the state with Busch Gardens. There are so many touristy things to do here, it's hard to fit everything in. Also, most cruise lines that depart from Miami will offer super cheap last minute fares to fill cabins, so it's easy to go to the Caribbean while you're here. - Mar 2008
