Freeport - Post Report Question and Answers

What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?

Don't come here without a job in hand. Work permits are expensive and difficult to come by. Working without a permit can (and will) get you deported and the employer fined. That being said, if you have a desired talent or speciality, you may be able to find work here. Locals always get first dibs and the employer has to show that they tried to find and hire a local before employing a foreigner. - Mar 2006
