What are some typical ways to socialize, either with local people or with other expatriates? Are there groups or clubs that you can recommend?
A bit complicated. Alcohol is banned, so there are no bars or clubs. Movies are generally Iranian and only in Farsi. Theater and music shows are quite limited. - Aug 2011
