Do you recommend any books or movies about this city/country for those who are interested in learning more?

I loved "A Thousand Hills" by Stephen Kinzer. The movie "Hotel Rwanda" is a good insight into the 1994 genocide. The ripple effect of that is still felt in some aspects, and it is good to understand it. It is also interesting to watch "Gorillas in the Mist" about Dian Fossey who founded the gorilla preserve, and "Rising from Ashes" about the creation and growth of the Rwandan national cycling team. - Jan 25, 2017
