What kinds of gyms or other sports/workout facilities are available? Are they expensive?

The US embassy has a small gym. Private gyms are available but pretty costly. - Jul 24, 2017
The Embassy has a small, basic gym with a couple of treadmills, bikes, and an elliptical machine, as well as weights. This is open to Embassy staff and EFMs 24 hours a day. There are also many local gyms in Riga, as well as a couple of swimming pools. Memberships can range from about 50-100 EUR per month, depending on where. - Sep 21, 2016
Just barely. It's a mystery how Latvians stay so skinny, but it's not by going to gyms. There are a few gyms, but they're not very convenient and they're more geared toward bodybuilders than normal folks trying to stay fit. - Jul 11, 2010
