What have been the highlights of your time in this country? Best trips or experiences?

I love exploring Vake, downtown, and Old Tbilisi. There are so many streets tucked away that are fun to wander around. Outside of the city, going up to Stepantsminda (and staying at Rooms hotel) is definitely worth a couple of weekends and skiing in Gudauri is fantastic. We're looking forward to traveling more in the country this summer (last summer, we didn't have our car yet). The Tbilisi ballet is lovely. Hiking in the Caucusus is amazing. - Apr 10, 2017
There are great weekend trips to Batumi and Bakuriani. There is cheap skiing in Gudauri, only a 45 minute car ride away. - Feb 14, 2017
Food! and wine! Georgians are also very friendly. - May 1, 2016
Stomping grapes in Sighnaghi, swimming in the Black Sea, and experiencing Svaneti and Ushguli. They should be on everyone's bucket list. - Jul 17, 2014
Visiting mountainous areas around the country and getting to know Georgians, who tend to be friendly and hospitable. Being invited to the homes of local friends is a warm and welcoming experience as extended families tend to live together; hospitality is highly valued here. - Oct 31, 2011
Visiting archeological site D'manisi and the Uphultsikhe cave remains, and the Stalin Museum in Gori. - Sep 24, 2011
The people are very generous and hospitable. Visiting ancient historical sites without a single tourist nearby is something great.. - Apr 27, 2011
The people, the food, and of course the wine! - Jun 9, 2010
