Would someone with physical disabilities have difficulties living in this city?
Yes, Djibouti would be challenging for those with physical disabilities. There are virtually no sidewalks and those you find are uneven and treacherous. The Embassy is the only building with an elevator (that I've seen). - Jun 14, 2016
Definitely. - Aug 14, 2015
There is a lack of sidewalks in many areas; many buildings don't meet ADA standards; there is no safe public transport; and no high-tech medical facilities. - Feb 28, 2013
The roads are full of potholes, sidewalks are not on every street, and many roads are unpaved. Parking is wherever you can find a spot, and you'll often find yourself squeezed in by another car. Ramps are non-existent. I would not recommend coming here if you have physical disabilities. - Apr 13, 2010
As a developing country, this would NOT be a do-able place for someone with physical disabilities. - Aug 15, 2008
