Are preschools available? Day care? Are these expensive? What has been your experience with them, if any? Do the schools provide before- and/or after-school care?

Little experience with them, but we know others at post who have been happy with pre-schools. - Dec 27, 2017
I have two children 4 and 2 years. The four-year old goes to a Portuguese preschool half a day and I have a nanny helping me with my two-year old. The Portuguese preschool costs about US$180 per month. The other embassy children go the French preschool and they are happy and the cost is the same. - May 18, 2014
There are local preschools and daycares that Cape Verdeans use, but I do not know about the quality or price. - Feb 2, 2011
Hire a nanny. A full time "empregada" will cost you about $300 per month. - Sep 8, 2012
Available and inexpensive. Quality will vary. - May 23, 2012
