What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections?

DC. DC to Miami to La Paz. Miami to La Paz is direct on American Airlines. Approximately 7 hours. - Sep 2, 2016
SC Shortest trip is about 14 hours with two stops. For the most part, it seems you can't leave La Paz without making a stop in Santa Cruz, it can add about 3 hours to your flight. It is not the same when coming in. - Jun 9, 2015

U.S. West Coast about 18 hours with a connection in Miami. You can technically connect in Bogota or Lima but the AA flight from La Paz to Miami is the only authorized U.S. flagged carrier. - Nov 8, 2014
From Washington, the only approved routing is American Airlines through Miami. It takes about 12 hours with transit time. We're hoping a United codeshare with Avianca Airlines might happen as it allows some better options for onward connections and pet travel. - Jan 1, 2014
