How do you send and receive your letters and package mail? Are local postal facilities adequate?

The US embassy provides mail through the DPO and pouch. Local mail service is very cheap and surprisingly reliable, but only use Registered Mail or the Express Mail Service, which provide tracking numbers. - Apr 11, 2017

You can send letters in the mail. Just figure on a couple weeks for it to get there. - Nov 20, 2008
Thank goodness for APO. I would hate to be here without it. I mail order everything. - Oct 27, 2008
From what I understand, you don't. None of my non-embassy friends send or receive mail. However, all the major shippers are here (DHL, Fedex, etc.). - Feb 24, 2008
